The Westfield Group
Retail Demand Analysis and Tenanting Strategy, New York, NY
Westfield Company was developing 350,000 square feet of above- and below-grade retail space it now owns and operates at the World Trade Center site in Lower Manhattan. Located primarily in Santiago Calatrava’s iconic World Trade Center Transportation Hub, the project includes retail and event space, and targets local residents, nearby office workers, and the millions of tourists that visit the area each year. RESGroup analyzed and sized the potential demand for retail from these three segments (residents, workers and tourists), assisting Westfield in understanding types of tenants that could be attracted to the space, and providing the analysis to demonstrate to these tenants how compelling this location is for various retail types and price points.
